Last updated: 3 November 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use mornich.com or join our email list, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Mornich Publishing is a trading name of Digitalnetstore Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16967673.
Postal address: Digitalnetstore Limited, Office 22271, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London E6 2JA
Email: mornichpublishing@gmail.com
We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. This means we decide how and why it is used.
What we collect
When you sign up for a free download
Our sign-up forms ask for:
- your first name
- your email address
- whether you tick the box to get our occasional emails
The box is optional. You get the free download whether or not you tick it.
We also keep a record of which free download you asked for, the date and time you signed up, the date and time you confirmed your email address, and whether you ticked the box. This is our record of your consent.
Our email provider, Kit, records whether you open our emails and click the links in them. We use this to see which emails are useful and to keep our list healthy.
When you email us
If you email us, we keep your email address, your name and what you write, so we can reply.
When you visit the website
- Site statistics. We use Jetpack Stats, provided by Automattic Inc. When you load a page, Jetpack Stats processes your IP address, browser type, the page you visit, the page that sent you, the time of the visit, your browser language and your country. We only see totals, such as how many people viewed a page. We cannot see who you are. Automattic keeps these logs for 28 days.
- Images. Some images on our site load through Automattic’s image service (i0.wp.com). Your browser sends your IP address to Automattic’s servers to fetch them.
- Fonts. Our site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser sends your IP address to Google’s servers to fetch them.
- Emoji. On some older browsers, WordPress loads emoji images from WordPress.org servers, which receive your IP address.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, the pages you request and the time of each request. These help keep the site secure and working.
Cookies
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use Google Analytics.
We checked our homepage and our contact page on 3 November 2026. Our server set no cookies when either page loaded.
Some tools on our site run in your browser after a page loads, and these can set their own cookies:
- Kit sign-up forms. Our sign-up pages use a form from Kit. Kit’s form script may set its own cookies in your browser, for example to remember that you have already signed up.
- Jetpack Stats. Jetpack Stats runs on our pages. It may set cookies to count unique visitors.
- Site administrators. If you log in to the site as an administrator, WordPress sets the cookies it needs for that.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works if you do.
How we use your data and our lawful basis
| What we do | Lawful basis under UK GDPR |
|---|---|
| Send you the free download you asked for, and the email with your download link | Our legitimate interest in giving you what you asked for (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Send you occasional emails about new books and free printables, only if you tick the box | Your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). You give it by ticking the box and confirming your email address. |
| Keep a record of your consent and of your unsubscribe request | Our legitimate interest in proving consent and making sure we do not email you after you unsubscribe (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Reply to your emails | Our legitimate interest in answering your questions (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Site statistics, security and server logs | Our legitimate interest in running a secure website and understanding which pages are useful (Article 6(1)(f)) |
You can withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect emails we sent before you withdrew it.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for automated decisions or profiling that has legal or similar effects on you.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with the service providers who help us run the site and the email list. Each one acts on our instructions.
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) stores our email list and sends our emails. When you sign up, your name, email address and consent record are stored by Kit.
- HostGator, part of Newfold Digital, hosts our website and its server logs.
- Automattic Inc. provides Jetpack Stats and the image service.
- Google provides the fonts on our site.
Our book pages link to Amazon. When you follow a link to Amazon, Amazon’s own privacy notice applies.
We may also share data if the law requires us to.
International transfers
Kit, Newfold Digital, Automattic and Google are based in the United States, and your data may be processed there. When we transfer your data outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by an approved safeguard. This may be a UK adequacy decision, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified companies, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can email us for more detail about these safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Email list. We keep your name and email address while you stay subscribed.
- Consent and unsubscribe records. If you unsubscribe, we remove you from our mailing list. We keep your email address with your consent and unsubscribe records for 2 years. This lets us show what you agreed to, and stops us emailing you again by mistake.
- Unconfirmed sign-ups. If you sign up but never confirm your email address, we delete your details after 90 days.
- Emails you send us. We keep these only as long as we need them to answer you and deal with any follow-up.
- Site statistics. Automattic keeps Jetpack Stats logs for 28 days.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, HostGator, keeps these for the period it sets.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
